Well, I am finally finished the mesh for my first addon ship. I probably should have started with a smaller project, but Orbiter is about steep learning curves, right?

I'm calling my ship the HS Beautiful. It is designed to be a long-range exploration vessel that is mostly (and by mostly, I mean slightly) realistic. It features two counter-rotating centrifuge systems to provide artificial gravity. The crew (8 people) would live in the gravity pods, while the on-duty members would be in the zero-gravity command deck on the front. For those truly homesick days, there is a fairly expansive observation window on a deck just above the command center. For *cough* in-flight refueling *cough* it will have extendable 'collectors' which would scoop off gases from the atmospheres of planets as it aerobrakes, aerocaptures and whatnot. It will also have a DGIV bay located in such a way that when a DGIV is docked there it will not offset the CG. (In case no one has figured it out, I'm planning on using this for a Grand Flag Challenge-type flight)

Enough talk, on to the pictures!

Hopeful features list:
Rotating Centrifuge Pods
Openable Radiators
Openable Bay Doors
Openable Antennas
Tracking Antennas
Escape Pods (for when I screw up an aerobrake)
Custom 2D Panel

I've been inspired a lot by the capabilities of the DGIV and so would also like to have:

Flight Computer and Autopilots
UMMU Capable
Oxygen and Environmental Management
Glowing Heat Shield (for when I screw up an aerobrake)
Mesh Reflect changes in crew
Crew Dying
Crew escaping in the escape pods (why else would I have them)
Perhaps payloads later on.
Rip-Off-able doors

Now that someone is hopefully interested, I have a few (and by few, I mean several) questions:

1. Is there some way to have the flight model reflect the changes in angle of the airfoil-like centrifuge pods if someone's left them spinning while collecting fuel.

2. If someone does lock them while collecting, how about the default anhedral?

3. I'll probably be able to figure this one out eventually, but how do I make antennas track?

4. Will there be a problem with the amount of features 'inspired by' DanSteph?

5. Does anyone know how to do a flight computer that awesome? (besides DanSteph (or if he would tell me, that would be great ;)))

6. Where would I put the variable for all the environmental, oxygen, door and animation states?

7. Where could I learn how to make a cockpit panel?

Thanks for all your help so far, especially you, tblaxland .

Hopefully someone likes the idea, because I'm going to make it anyways, and I'd prefer it turn out better, rather than worse.

Thanks again!
