Flight Question How to EVA your crew while docked?

I have a DGIV docked to ISS and want to ummu-manipulate payload to dock it, but how do I get the crew out of the ship? Do I need to undock, get them out through the lock, then dock again? Or is there a way to transfer crew to the ISS and use her lock (if there is any?)

With the stock ISS, yes you do have to undock. So, if you haven't already, don't try opening the cabin hatch to EVA. It's not pretty. :lol:

There are UMMU-compatible stations, including [ame="http://orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4457"]UCGO & UMMU compatible ISS[/ame] which allow you to transfer crew and (presumably; haven't tried it) egress through another docking port.

Yeah, if you have another docking port available on that one you can EVA without any problem through it.

You should be able to add a docking port using the .cfg file.

It allows UMMU's in anything with a docking port. Works well on the stock ISS too.
