Gaming Hielor's Minecraft Server

He technically does live in the commune still, since he lives in his court room office. But I agree, the commune isn't as fun to live in as it used to be

Ah, we used to have a public animal pen and it wasn't so crowded

Oh :censored: i gave Woo most of my TNT stockpile.. :leaving: :hide:

You guys could do some of Vech's Super Hostile Race for Wool.

Quick guide for anyone that isn't familiar with the concept:
Two teams, two identical lanes. There are usually 3 colored wool chests hidden in the map, guarded by spawners, traps and badness. The first team that retrieves all the three colored wools and places it in their Victory Monument, wins.

You can harass the other team using ranged attacks like arrows and TNT cannons, as long as you don't leave your lane.

One of the vids (there are plenty - skip to 6 minutes in to start):

The games usually last at least a few hours. I've seen them get played from 2v2 to 10v10.

what would you be fighting for exactly?

A diamond block. CTF style, or instead of multiple blocks, there'd only be one.

catalyst wants to ask why he was banned? I dont know if he actually was.
I haven't done anything to ban or restrict him. What is he seeing when he tries to log in?

He didn't say what it said exactly, he just told me that they banned him. I'll ask him again to try later.

I've updated the original post to include info about how to protect LWC-protected blocks/doors from being activated by redstone torches/switches/buttons. At this time, i think I need to keep the default as not protected, as I bet there are quite a few doors out in the world that would be broken if I were to change the default, although I would really like to change it so that doors aren't opened by redstone unless you set the flag.

Thoughts?

I vote to leave the default as protection-off.
If I take the 'trouble' of making my doors private, it's not much harder to make them redstone-proof. :P

And darn this redstone protection... redstone is how I bypassed everything in the old world.

I thought I'd had it defaulting to redstone protection on, but apparently not :(

Who needs redstone when you've got massive lag?

I've seen too many top-secret areas by timing out while opening protected doors, without even realising access is restricted. Yesterday I had a look at Pablo's office (nice office, btw :shifty:) closed the door, walked away and THEN was teleported back to the door with the message "door is sealed by a magical spell." Oops!

(Then I timed out...and that was how I ended up in the defendant's box at court yesterday...)

Question: Is their anything against moving far away from the commune? I want to explore and set up a house far from civilisation.
