Hello world without borders,

I am Astronomer & Engineer who loves exploration and flying. I like to log my exploration through many different mediums such as photography, painting, videogame, and literature.

I heard/read about this simulation through the Valve Steam Community while hopping in other space related video games. I saw few active members who are adding much experience and enjoyment to workshop games and adds on, and some off them were in groups such as orbiter-forums and this led me to here.

It is great meeting you all! And I am looking forward for great time sharing our passion together in this community.

:-) Happy holidays and I wish you all a happy new year, every year.

Cheers,
-Ahmed

:welcome: to Orbiter-Forum. :)

Thank you all!!!

Just to add more to the intro, I have just played around with the Delta glider, and the SH-03, and the Space Shuttle.

I am getting used to the interface and the display and the key binding at the moment. I hope to be able to dock to the ISS successfully soon. Thank you all for posting many types of tutorials.

And then share the images or videos with you all!

Na zdrowie!

Thank you all,

To SolarLiner, thank you! I believe you are asking about the games on Steam? If so, it was Kerbal Space Program, and Universe SandBox. I also tried other games, but didn't spend nearly as much time as the earlier two I mentioned.

KSP is definitely the best game ever after Orbiter. It is a great way to learn space physics to reuse them in Orbiter after :)
Universe Sandbox is nice too, but for me after 20 minutes playing gravity pool and setting different "special" orbits I got bored. I still use it sometimes when I'm bored ...

Anyway, hope you rejoin the ISS quickly, and don't forget: Hail Probe ! :hailprobe:

Very true, KSP is very fun to play and learn and make the physics more intuitive than just number on papers.

The Universe Sandbox is nice, I still find KSP to be more enjoyable, however, I love running Galaxies collision simulations on that game.

If anyone want to share more gaming experience, please let me know, I would like to hear them all.

I am thinking of getting Take on Mars. Anyone tried it?

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but it seems like I can't upload a profile or avatar picture. The option is not there in my profile setting or something.

I think I posted a couple of posts now (one I am sure of is approved, I don't know about the others), so I am not sure if this is related, or would restrain the avatar thingy.

merci!

A few members of O-F including myself tried it. There's even a thread for it at Orbiter-Forum: [Gaming] Bohemia Interactive Take On Mars. Of course at this time the game is under constant development and the content or opinions presented on that thread don't need to reflect the current state of the game.

You should be able to upload it within the hour or so since your 2nd approved post, after you automatically become a "Verified Member".
