Greetings to the Forum,
I'm excited about finally getting started with Orbiter. What a cool, virtual universe! Spaceflight has always been a passion for me; i've read so many Apollo books that it feels like i've been there. I ran the Orbiter Lunar Transfer tutorial, took notes, and then have been trying to duplicate the operations with Delta Glider ready for takeoff, KSC runway 33. I'm having difficulty reaching a proper orbit. My Eccentricity against [target: Moon] keeps increasing, and control of pitch is tricky on ascent. Also, I've had no luck getting add-ons to work with my Windows 7 installation. The 2001 addon hangs up the program on initial load. Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks! -mph4ya

:hello: :salute: Welcome!

I'd recommend Go Play In Space for your first problem; If you haven't read it yet, it's well worth a read. You can find it in the "Tutorials" section on this site.

As for your second issue, you might be better posting a specific issue in the addons forum, and we can hopefully pick your problems apart one by one.

Were do you live in Florida? I live in Jacksonville Florida on the outskirts of the town near Middleburg.

what do you mean your eccentricity against the target moon keeps increasing??? can you describe what that means using different words? WHAT is indicating to you that it is increasing? how is it increasing? what are you "targeting the moon" with? what is your altitude when this happens? what happens to you when you try to get into orbit? also: hello from washington state! i live on the other corner lol

Welcome to O-F! We hope the levels of insanity are outweighed by the levels of knowledge.
