The GTM-1 simulated mission (Generic Test Mission 1) will be a test of a new module capable of independently controlling launch and main orbital maneuvers.

Mission datas:

Spacecraft: Antares-SR
Carrier Rocket : Jarvis L
Crew 2
Mission Duration: 4 days
Launch: Sunday, September 2 at 8:45 UTC
Launch Base : Capo Passero - AVSI Pad JA
Re entry: Atlantic Ocean 400 km away from the coast of North Carolina (USA)

Mission objectives:
1) Test the new launch and MECO automatic module
2) Test the new main orbital maneuvers automatic module
- orbit rise up to 500 km
3) Scientific experiments and EVA (third day)

The mission will perform eight ignitions controlled directly by the new module and totally automatic. Meanwhile, the planned orbit maximum height increased to 1000 km and the splashdown site has been rescheduled on the Pacific Ocean at 20:10 UTC on Thursday, September 6.
Rollout of the Jarvis L launch vehicle from SAV to pad JA (Capo Passero base) is scheduled for tomorrow at 08:00 UTC

5 automatic burns have been performed perfectly! Current orbit is 1000 x 990 km and all is ready for tomorrow's spacewalk starting at 19:15 UTC

This evening the Antares SR capsule returns to Earth. Deorbit Burn is sheduled for 19:16 UTC. Splashdown in the Pacific Ocean is scheduled for 20:12 UTC
