I made a great trip to Cologne yesterday, and I have a lot of picture to share.
I'll post a few on my blog each day.
Of course many former and current Astronauts were there. I saw Hans Schlegel, Thomas Reiter, Reinhold Ewald, Léopold Eyharts, Frank De Winne, Andreas Morgensen and Thomas Pesquet.
The first Pictures are from the control centers for ISS Experiments and the Philae lander.
Full scale model of Philae:
Later, on the way to :envihab there was a full scale mockup of the XCOR Aerospace Lynx.
And, while standing in a line in front of :envihab, the A400M appeared:
Then I took the long walk to a remote area of the airport (EDDK).
This little 777F N852FD was the first thing, it's size was so impressive that I just walked past CH-53, Tornado and Eurofighter without looking at them.
More of it later, including the obligatory "in front of a GE90" shot.
