Fictional Space Agency To Give Me A Different Orbiter Experience or FSATGMADOE for (sort of) short is an idea I've had to give myself a new experience in Orbiter.

FSATGMADOE has annouced it's official opening today and has announced that it's first group of ten astronauts has been chosen and are already undergoing rigorous training to prepare for there new life as Voyagers of the Stars.

The names of these 10 astronauts are being kept from the public at this time, these ten astronauts will be trained to withstand the pressures of launch and reentry and are being trained to use their spacecraft safely and efficiently.

FSATGMADOE hopes to have their first astronaut in space early next year. (fictional time)

In other words I need suggestions for the names of the ten astronauts, in case you can't tell I'm not too creative with names.

Thanks for the link.
At the moment I'm considering either the Pegase or Soyuz TMA.
I'm thinking I'll probably go with the Soyuz, simply because I find it has a lot of character where as the Pegase is the same old kind of 2 Module capsule you see all the time. (No offence to the creators, it is a great add-on.)

Darren

Edit: One question about the Soyuz.
Does it land in water or on land?
Sorry if that is a stupid question but I'm not too familiar with the Soyuz.

Edit2: Expect the next entry really, really soon. ;)

The soyuz lands on Land ;)

This is the landing of expedition 18. If you wonder what the explosion-like thing is just before touchdown: these are little rockets firing to give the crew a soft landing ;)

Thanks, I wondered why the heat shield dropped off.
So what would happen if it were to land in water?

Darren

I guess if it keeps its heat shield attached, nothing happens when it lands on the water. It's probably a hard landing for the crew since no rockets are being fired to slow it down and I guess that it eventually will sink...

Is this a VSA? Will it tie into REVIO or is that a separate project?

Talking of REVIO hows the mission shaping up?

You could say it is a sort of VSA, just a personal one for me.
This is seperate from REVIO, just something to make my Orbiter flights have a bit more meaning.

REVIO... well, progress is slow but, we're getting there.

Darren

Good luck with it, I started ISA for the exact same reason.

I have a bad habit of pronouncing acronyms as if they were words...
Fasatigamado. ...Yeah. :uhh:
