I don't know about the tax regime in the UK. But when I look at my payroll I literally feel like being robbed. Especially when I consider what is happening with that money, and what not.
I remember one of my former classmates whose father was manager of a store of the "Deutsche Bank". His son opened a bar many years ago (and failed of course due to bureaucracy and costs). When his father came to visit, he looked around very sceptical and said, with his raised forefinger: "remember the state is going to take 50% of every Euro you earn". I'll never forget his serious facial expression while saying so...
In case of Ecclestone I can only say there are certainly safer ways to safe some of the assets.
