Hi.
This addon adds detail to most of Florida.
The textures stand 12.5 MB in size total, they are designed for performance and coverage.

Generated from the I-Cubed LandSat World Studio by Artlav, and some google.maps data.

Download here: [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3681"]Florida Surface Tiles v1[/ame]

Blends with Seth's level 10 earth textures
and are very very very highly recommended:

Be sure to read the readme file for install instructions.

PS: please report any bugs or missing files.

Looking really good.
You keep amazing me with your textures!

Great work, I just had a nice Ascension-Habana-Canaveral XR-2 flight, and it was a great thing to see the new tiles while approaching.

Are these tiles designed to work with Slat's LC-39 launch pads? i.e. Will Slat's pads be in the correct position by default?

Slats Yes, Everything else including default runways, vessel starting positions, No

No it won't, it just changes the KSC surface tiles

Anyone having problems in seeing the new surf tiles?
I have installed them but can't see them :( (have Seth's Earth LVL10 and LC39-EAFB2006 installed)

You need to edit the canaveral.cfg to see the new tiles. It's called readme.txt for a reason. ;)

I did read the readme file and replaced the surftile list, but with no joy :(
I guess I used the wrong Canaveral.cfg...

Which other add-on/s do I need for the runways to be positioned correctly on the tiles? It Looks fantastic, and doesn't noticably affect my framerate on a fairly low end machine (900Mhz Athlon, 768 MB Ram, 64MB NVidea).

Thanks

I think it was this one.

Install that and re-install my tiles over it. Should be ok.

Ok, but that only works with STS unless you also get:

[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3286"]Complete Edwards/Canaveral Installation V2[/ame]

After installing EAB, install this to use in regular Sol system, and things work.

You'll have to move ships in most other scenarios to place them on the runway, but it's not a big deal - and well worth the effort to have a Cape this pretty!

Runway 33:

POS -80.6831447 28.5977817
HEADING 330.67

Runway 15:

POS -80.705312 28.631838
Heading 150.6

I was a bit hessitant to install this add on at first because of the changes I knew I would need to make to the base files I had tweeked myself .... but the change up was more than worth it !

Cape Canaveral has never looked so good on my install.

Without a doubt, this is a must have add on for the 2006P1 build.
