Project Fictional Space Shuttle Program

Back to work!

Hello everybody.

I've just now begun to back into to Orbiter (again), and I was reminded of this project.

As you may or may not know, I first attempted to start this project in August of 2013. Within two weeks, I had made a sample mission (STS-1, quite simple actually) and had come up with a tentative schedule for the first four years of the program.

Then, moving and other obligations forced me to delay the project until February of this year. Discussion on the project continued for another two weeks after that. All that came out of that two weeks was a method of incorporating The ISS 3.2 shuttle pad into the scenarios. After I posted a question concerning a problem I had in doing this (see end of previous page), Cras (who suggested the method) failed to answer my question and the project again came to a screeching halt.

Now, it's my mission to get the project done no matter what. This project has great potential. Telling by the views listed for this thread, there is still great interest in the project.

As to my role in this project, I feel I would be the one who puts the scenarios together (i. e. putting the aforementioned custom payloads in the scenario) as the scenario elements (as I'm calling them) are sent to me.

So c'mon people, LET'S GET TO WORK!!!!!

Great Idea for an addon and great job by getting info by all. I would love to see more shuttle payloads fly even to the point of using the fictional orbiters to keep the shuttle flying. Brian J did a great job with his Sunnyvale STS addon but it would be great to see the SDI mission fly. I think doing an addon with the lost missions of 1986 might be a good start. Most of them flew later but to see the Shuttle/Centaur fly would be awesome. Thortons launch pads are what I use in 2010 to still launch the shuttle but I think gazza's night launch is one of the best views in orbiter
