From the AEHF-1 thread:

This launch will fall in the same week as the 50th anniversary of Echo 1, the very first communications satellite.

Echo 1 would be cool, and would go along with the 50th anniversary Sputnik and Exporer 1. I remember seeing Echo 1 in the sky as a kid.
I looked in orbithangar, but did not see and Echo 1 add-on. There is a
Thor add-on [ame="http://orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=1920"]Thor Family[/ame]

It has Telstar and Tiros.

Here's a pic of the actual launch vehicle I believe.

30.5 meters diameter, for only 66 kilograms, skin in Mylar (polyester), helium inflated :)

That was an interesting concept. Maybe future inflatable space stations will revive it ?

So, basically, it would look like more or less like that once in orbit (no textures yet).

I will Velcro the whole rocket, it will be more practical than multistage1 :p Entirely redid the 3rd stage (Altair).

Here's the NASA 50th anniversary video, which at 30 seconds shows the thing inflating:
