Hi All :)
I am an absolute newbie in Orbiter so I apologize in advance for probably stupid question.

I downloaded Base (full) 060929 version. Then I downloaded the Earth L10 high-resolution package and copied the files from the archive into the "Textures2" folder.

But when I started playing the appearance of the Earth remains the same. What did I do wrong?

in the orbiter launch pad under "visual effects" has "max resolution lv (1-10)" been set to 10?

Did the read me say to copy the new textures to only the Textures2 folder?

The problem is solved!
Firstly I downloaded archive with package from here: http://download.orbit.m6.net/mirror.html - Earth L10 060504 79 026 230. It contains only 4 files: Earth_tile.bin, Earth_cloud.tex, Earth_tile.tex, Earth_tile_lmask.tex. After copying them to Textures2 folder nothing has changed. Then I tried another link: http://www.setheden.com/LandSat/Maps/EarthL10/Earth_L10.zip. This archive contains 3 folders (Textures, Textures2, Doc) with files. And it works.
Thanks for replying :)

Seth Edens textures are a lot better too. Just take care you have enough RAM for them.
You should also try his Earth Textures!

check the ; === Visualisation Parameters === section in your earth.cfg file in the config folder. The maxresolutions should match the level of the textures you use. I have tried both lvl10 earths and they both worked correctly. (went back to level9 because I have an old PC).

Level 10 earth still uses the clouds from the base-install, as far as I could see. Is this correct or do I not need to install additional higher-level clouds?
