Flight Question Dragonfly COG system help, adapt to a payload?

ive been playine with the dragonfly, i used the "powerd up" scenario to cut out the hard part, but i cant get the COG system to adapt to a payload, even when i input the new COG manually (it has no effect)

and to make matters worse, i bugged my orbiter install putting a 2006 dragonfly update on a 2010 orbiter

is there something ive done wrong? or is there an alternative for station building?

Can you provide a screenshot of both the Dragonfly main panel, and the electrical panel? (the one to the left)

This is how Dragonfly looks on my PC after startup.

The radar panel on the right is completely inactive. Antenna doesn't even respond to manual inputs.

well, i used the scenario in the orbiter package where its powered up, so unless you have a different power-up checklist to use this feature, that isnt the problem

thinking about it, that IS probably the cause, but i still dont know how to get around this

Have you tried the stack RCS management feature in the Precession MFD?

i dont quite understand how to do it, in the "environment page" im not sure how to adapt the RCS, any help?

Press OPT, enter 100 (Newtons, really small thrust) for starters. If there is a pattern of only 100s and zeroes in the screen, it's OK. Then, press Shift+numpad keys to maneuver around (left shift if the MFD is to the left, right shift if to the right). Please be aware that current RCS mode matters, and in LIN RCS, it is 4 for backward and 6 for forward. You can play around with OPT thrust value and find the maximum for which there is still a solution. Please also bear in mind that after expending some significant portion of the propellant the COG shifts, so re-calibration of RCS is in order (press OPT again).

so i just hit [MFD side] shift and then use RCS as normal? ill try that

nope, nothing

and the dragonfly wont auto-configure, the CG offset doesnt even do anything without a payload!

Oh, my brain damage starts to tell, please forgive me. It is the STATUS page, not environment (Environment page cheats, Status doesn't), and moving CG won't actually be of help.

ah, well i was trying that as well... acidentally

i was playing with the precession MFD's scenario with two docked DGs, and that was the one, not the environment.

but its still being a pain, translation wont work in UP DN LT RT directions at all, and the forwards-backwards one i can do without reconfiguring

Strange. Are you in LIN mode? And have you tried a) increasing thrust (in OPT) and b) increasing pulse length?

yes, i was in LIN before pressing OPT, and i have tried increasing the thrust, pulse length i left at 1, i presume that is 1 second?

Yes, it is in seconds, and for most purposes enough for a RCS. I'll have a look at my rig.
