Well I think I know the answer to the question in the thread title, so let me ask another question.

A little detail on the situation: So I finally have been able to go to other planets outside of eaths orbit (recently orbited around Saturn then my orbiter froze up due to hyper speed) and also have finally hit the moon and decided to try landing on the moon with a falcon 9 dragon. Now landing is great and all (the first time I landed my capsule exploded and the peices shot back into space), however after I was able to do a "clean" landing, I decided to try and head back to our planet. However the capsule is not capable of lifting at all or gaining enough thurst to lift itself up..? Is it impossible for the actual Dragon Capsule to lift itself and head back to earth, or am I just trying something not possible?

No, the Dragon isn't designed to do that. You might try a number of purpose-built lunar landers, though. :)

I don't think that capsules are meant for landing. Remember that Orbiter is not like KSP, specific mods have specific roles which are somehow very inflexible and you can't just change it. The Dragon obviously have thrust capabilities, but those are for orbital operations, and just like the way it is in real life, these capabilities doesn't translate very well into a lifting one, which is why people designed a lander for the Apollo missions rather than using the CSM. It might actually have enough delta-v to achieve orbit, but its impulse might perhaps be less than able to do it because of its design specifications.

Yes and no. The dragon probably wouldn't be designed to do that, but you can fly anything with velcro rockets. The other option would be UCD, but there are issues associated with that.
