Countdown is underway at Vandenberg for the launch of the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program's F18 probe. Launch is 12:12 EST, 9:12 PDT. This will be the 600th Atlas launch in history and today is the 6 year anniversary of the first Atlas V launch. Here are some coverage links:

DMSP F18 has seperated from the Centaur upper stage and is now in orbit! Ascent complete!
