Where's the poll option for those knowing the terms in the guliverian context, but had no idea it is used in mathemathics?

Actually computer science, not mathematics.

Anyhow, I first heard of endianness from my Dad, who was familiar with the origins of the term, and explained both the technical and Gulliverian meanings of big and little endianness in the conversation in which I first heard the terms.
