News DeltagliderEX

@JonnyBGoode
Very nice! I had Resolve at TX5. What base do you use? It looks great with mountains in background. Are they meshes or OGLA/Orulex??

Heres my actual config. I choosed a pirate skin for DGEX, then i stol a passenger modul from new MoonBaseAlpha, you can enter it from vc and back. At the end the MiniLander from Hyperdart addon, as rescue capsule.

Does any one know if Kluch's Energia can lift the 'EX to orbit?

I'm gonna go try it...

Energia can launch (nearly) everything.

Energia can do it, though it's not exactly graceful...
Defeats the point, for me.

But while we're on the topic of sticking to things/sticking things to the DGEX, there's also Kulch's heavy steam catapult, which comes with a scenario for it.
Good idea with using the 1999 cargo- are there any other good payloads anyone can come up with?

And I'm also getting the throttle-not-responding-to-joystick-or-keyboard-input bug, it happens when the engines switch to rocket mode. Not showstopping, but it kind of bothers me not being able to use my throttle.

Well, I know it won't help much, It's just another thing you can stick it on. :P

Randomly, when I'll get the chance I'll see if it's possible to fly two DGEX in formation into orbit (I think it might become impossible to stay together once going near orbital velocity, but I'll see).

Can someone please post a scenario file with DGEX attached to Energia from velcro rockets?
I was always horrible at figuring out that coding. :(

I already tried the Energia. The DGEX was to heavy so the energia ran out of fuel before it could achieve a stable orbit. I might try it again at a lower orbit and see if that works.

But can you still post the scenario file?
Please? I need an example of the coding to look at.

Really nice ship Schimz

Energia's manual says it can lift about 105 tons to LEO.
The DeltagliderEX weights 265,650 t (taken from Orbiter object info)
I don't think it will manage

Kulch's TX can get up to about 35-40k with the EX on it's back, that's a good start anyway.

When did THIS come out?? ?? -- rhetorical question..

Is this new dgex for 2006 or 2010?? Or both??

I would believe 265,000 lbs. The space shuttle is 172,000 lbs. 265,000 tons is just way too much.

Sorry, but I didn't use velcro. I used the payload manager that comes with the Energia.

Where do access the payload manager?
Through the scenario editor? I looked there and I didn't have any payload manager when I chose the Energia core vessel.

P.S.
I would still love if someone posted a scenario file with it manually attached to the Energia through velcro rockets.

Works fine for me.

No, you have a different Energia. You can't find it because you have the Velcro Energia; the window shown is that of Kulch's ENERGY Project Energia.
