Wow, that must be a frame rate killer, no?

Cons: ctd's every time

The ini files seem to be wrongly named. Could the author please upload a version that works! Yes I have the latest Spacecraft 3 and the shuttle. Still CTDs!

This Addon is top nice, i just have an idea, maybe you could make a new addon, Death Star 2 with a hangar and shuttle tidyrion.

Can't get it to work either. It doesn't just crash Orbiter it crashes Win XP with a "System has recovered from a serious error" message.

I get a CTD on both scn.
i have spacecraft3.dll

any thoughts?

I had to modify some lines to even get by the CTD. Still haven't got the full mesh to display.

The mesh reference in the ini files is wrong. you have to rename it after the meshes in the meshes folder. You also need the shuttle Tiderium addon, by the same author, to run the scenarios.

These are the corrected files:

Do not work anyway. With or wihout the patch from Max Pain. I don't see the main body.Same problem with Deathstar2.

I've made a search in the .msh for the .dds but i do not find a solution .

Note : be careful with Deathstar2. Meshes folder is named Mesh; Scenarios, scenario; Textures, texture.

Error... ERROR!!!

yeah, same prob, the main body doesnt show up

Before i found the patch, i messed around with the file names and managed to get the hangar and ring working... so i think any and all references in the config, and possibly the names of the meshes, are stuffed up, id fix it if i could, but maybe the author could have a second look?

other star wars addons rock though!

Some success with that (and the "patch" from Max Pain) but by the fact that i do not understand why, i'm not sure that it is the solution.

In D_STAR.msh, at the end :

TEXTURES 12
deathstar\SuperficieLux.dds
deathstar\turret.dds
deathstar\wall2.dds
deathstar\hangarfloordiff.dds
deathstar\hangarfloorlum.dds
deathstar\hangarfloorbump.dds
deathstar\DS_BODY.dds
deathstar\superficie.dds
deathstar\DSTAR4.dds
deathstar\DSTRENCH.dds
deathstar\DSINSIDE.dds
deathstar\DS_LIGHT.dds

(...superficie.dds after DS_BODY.dds...and not before ).

EDIT : no, no, no...the elements are not at the right places.

Don't get it. For me these changes in the ini files worked. Install spacecraft 3, the ShuttleTD addon and then the deathstar and then copy the ini files I have uploadet into Config/Spacecraft and overwrite the corrupted ones.

Hello,

No, the order of installation is not important and one do not need the Shuttletd to run the scenario. In each case the main body is not there.

I guess your graphics card has problems displaying a 40+ megabyte dds file.:)

It was in my mind, yes, also. After a lot of trys, it could be the conclusion.:)

I get identical result with both so I doubt hardware is a factor at all. DSII looks rather interesting that way though, Try flying through that obstacle course!

Something to add : if i make a copy of superficie.dds ( 683 ko ) and rename that copy ds_body ( and rename the original ds_body with another name to to have only one ds_body.dds in the deathstar folder ) i can see a body for the deathstar ( a really particular one, but a body). And when you say 40 Mo, you should say 40 Mo plus 20 Mo for the body itself. It's big. May i conclude on that ? It seems... I will see.

Thank you.

EDIT : but DEATHSTAR2 is "only" 40 Mo...Same as Deathstar without the ds_body. So...

EDIT2 : the same method works with DSII: ds_body21 renamed and superficie.dds named ds_body21.dds.

EDIT3 : temporarely, a solution ( but the visual effect is far from to be the same i think ) : the ds_body.dds from another deathstar addon made by Uriel Goldvais :

...or, maybe ( but i've not tryed that one ), the that's no moon addon made by John Wilson :

I was right, installation sequence matters...

On a clean install of orbiter I installed the Shuttle TD, then the TIE fighter, then the deathstar and then patch, and TADA it worked..... i dont know why though...
