Vessel Commerical LEO destinations and other space stations

SO it sounds like on the Axiom I need just to make the mainbody, solar,rad,.... only and have the PAM docked/attached to the body. maybe attach as I don't think you can have docked vessel on the ground, like for the launch.

Or just make the PAM mesh disappear?
 
Would be nice if the RMS can move the PMA to one of the side ports as Hab-2 arrives....then relocates it towards the latter module's other end. So yeah, either an attached object or a docked vessel will do
 
Ok. so redo the mesh. I can make the PAM as a vessel and then attach to Module. Dock to the PAM and not the module.

Since redoing. I think the solar panels needs to be larger?

also on the ends of the module. Show the rectangle hatch and not the cloth ends?

Keep cloth ends on the sides?

On the PTTM I think the solar panels are wrong. I think they fold forward. The solar and radiator are what was sticking out.

And it looks like the PTTM has common berth on both sides and the PAM fits over it?

Yeah the PPTM has two common berthing mechanisms on both ends, with one being occupied by a PMA. Based on current renders, this one seems to be permanently attached unlike the second PMA of Hab-1. Hypothetically it could be detached anytime they'd like though, just not on the current plans atm
 
Ok. So I will make the PTTM have berthing ends. Then you can attach a PMA to it.
 
The solar arrays from the render look like a lot similar to that of the iROSAs of the ISS and those from DART. Maybe @BrianJ's code for the DART addon would be a great help for this

There's also the ROSA array found in @Donamy's SpaceX CRS-11 payloads addon that is coded in Spacecraft3.DLL as an alternative

Thanks. I will. I can do the scaling part. but it is the frame work mounted to the ship. and where it is mounted.

I think for the PMA. I will add an option on a target or not
 
I am rethinking this.
I can make the PMA a vessel with an attachment point. BUT how to attach? I can add code to attach but the PMA needs to be near.

It might be easier to just make the PMA an mesh that is seen/not seen. press a key and that is so. And if the PMA is seen then dock is at the end on the PMA and not the module?
 
Finally got this for new PMA and panel work and fit in fairing

I got the HAB and PPTM to have the PMA seen/not seen.

BUT to change the dock distance is a pain. I can del the dock and create a new one. But then the numbering of the docks gets confused.

An another option is to make the PMA as a vessel. But how to make it attach without attachment manager?
I guess create the PMA as a vessel from the HAb code. and then use grapple to attach? The dock then change to the PMA?

I guess the easiest route is that let the arm grapple the attachment point on the PMA, then position it in a way that when it is released, it will automatically dock to a target port

Ok. But I think on the HAb it attach to the PMA and HAb. IF we dock it. then it might mess up the dock of the main vessels.
 
We get this.

But I tried putting her in a Falcon 9 Hvy fairing. And the length is good but the width of the solar panels and radiators are an issue.

This works except it is backwards of the drawings

UGH. I don't think you can dock with an attach vessel.

Yeah, docking is impossible on attached objects in Orbiter's current programming. What I meant previously was that simply set all berthing/docking ports as DOCKS, while only the grapple points the ones set as ATTACHMENTS. Like this one:

Theoretically in this setup, both parts will automatically dock with one another once the arm has the modules in proper positions
 
Thanks. So what we got is the HAb module have attachment on the end to attach the PMA. if attach then the dock moves to the end of the PMA. if not attach the end move back to the module.

I wonder if to start the launch the HAb1 had 2 PMA attached?

the pictures show 2 PMA's on hab one then it would be moved before Hab 2 gets there so you might think about using 1 on each because looks like it would be easier here to deal with
 
From this drawing Hab2 has No pma. But one can add one.
