A couple of years ago, a friend from australia sent me a signed poster from Robert McNaught.

Postage wasn't too bad

My father was in Southern NSW when McNaught was still quite visible.

He said it looked like that poster.

That is wonderful... I remember McNaught being utterly amazing in the sky, though nowhere near as extensive as in that poster. Must have been the light pollution.
