Papabear73 submitted a new addon:

Celeste - [CELESTIAL BACKGROUND] - Celestial background for 2016 and 2010

Inspired from COUSSINI
Addon : https://www.orbiter-forum.com/resources/celestial-background-new-stars-are-born.5609/
Tutorial : http://orbiter.dansteph.com/forum/index.php?topic=14872.0

Add a new celestial sphere for 2016 an 2010 (Two variant) using COUSSINI method, but with multiple calc.

BECAREFULL TO FOV.
Orbiter usually start with a 30° FOV.
This starmap is good at 50°, Awesome at 70°.
Think to use scroll wheel (or X and Z key) to get a 50° FOV or more, when...

EDIT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Screenshots not really visible on a phone or matte screen. I'll try to add a brighter photo.
If you're playing on a matte screen or with low backlighting, you maybe not be able to see the sparkle effects at 50°FOV and.

Feel free to give me feedback on whether or not you like the background, and if not, why and what type of screen you're using.

These backgrounds (or their screenshots) are very sensitive to your screen size, quality, and brightness.
Some matte screens render these backgrounds very poorly (the stars aren't clearly visible).

And as mentioned, it's from a 50°FOV that it becomes interesting (in my opinion, on my setup).
Perhaps I could improve the addon for darker screens.

I am a slide, click me

High FOV screenshots - Open to see them better

You should post screenshots. It is especially important for such a visual addon.

agree
pics or it didn't happen

btw, I love my background black
can't stand any of those Orbiter itself is offering
so I imagine won't be using this one too
prefer background like in those good old Apollo pics
and on them you can't see a ****

like, say
as11-44-6642_lunar-moon.jpg

this one

no Milky way, no planet, no star, no nebulae.
just good old pitch black vastness
pretty cool huh

Thanks guys !

There were a lot of photos in the “Preview” tab, I thought people were coming to the add-on via the “Orbiter Download” tab and seeing them directly.
I forgot about the “Thread” side.
I'll duplicate the slides integration in the first post.

Unfortunately, from a phone or a matte screen, it looks more like your beloved Apollo pics than what it is in reality gamer19! 😅
