This simple spacecraft is designed for atmospheric de-orbiting and soft landing with Greg Burch's BM modules from Station Building Blocks 4.0/4.1 attached on board, so they can be re-launched or - if you want - used as surface base modules.

This lander is originally designed for Mars landings, but soft landing can be achieved on Earth, Venus or Titan as well.

In combination with UMMU/UCGO support for BM110 module by "mjanicki", it can be used as  a landing vehicle for manned missions!

This addon requires:

• Vinka's latest spacecraft3
• Greg Burch's Station Building Blocks 4.0 or 4.1

Wow, this looks really interesting. Does the aeroshield stay on as the landing cushion, or does the module simply get dumped onto the ground as is?

Good question! The module actually lands still within the spacecraft, only the aeroshield is jettisoned. Under the aeroshield, there are eight landing legs with side supports, so the entire vehicle wouldn't tip over in case of "windy" landing.
