This is the Big Joe addon. It uses MJR's Atlas D addon, 4th rock's Little Joe capsule, and estar's Mercury adapter. Special thanks to them! The instructions are located in the scenario description. Stay thirsty my freinds!

If you want to use the new LC14 put this in front of System in the scn. file. Sol_MG

You need to tell them to download the new LC14 too. Did you edit the multistage parameters? My contrails are gone.
 
I believe it would be more appropriate to launch this from the AgenaLC14...if I can ever get around to the animation. The tower on the new LC14 at OH is for manned flights.

Big Joe? No, IIRC it was an integrated system test of the Mercury capsule & the Atlas booster.

Yes, I did edit it to fit the reality of the Atlas. The Big Joe launched from the Agena pad, too.

When it comes out, I will be sure to do that. But I also want this to be available for as many people as possible.
 
I feel the same way, but I'm getting further & further behind with the pads.

MJR, would you consider taking another shot at animating just the gantry retractions so we can get the pads out there? They were looking terrific before we tried animating the umbilicals. Or still too busy?
 
Big Joe modifications.

I took the liberty of modifying the BJ.ini multistage file. I've done much the same with the other Atlas booster files( I love this add on series ! ) . If you find this modification doesn't suit your needs or causes frame rate hits, you can tweak the parameters in the particle stream sections.

I STRONGLY recomend you back up the original BJ.ini file in your Config/multistage folder ( simply change file name to BJ.ini.BAK ) then copy paste this data into a blank notepad file and save the file as BJ.ini and put it in your Config/multistage folder. This prevents original file overwrites.

Please note, this modification was done without the original authers permission and is posted here only to show others how you can modify add ons to suit your personal tastes.

Yes, I do. But I still have the problem with the girders at the base of the gantry not moving.

I know you were surprised by this and said you weren't having the same issue, so I may have an older ini file.

I'd also need the exact same things animated on the Agena pad. That's the only thing delaying that release.

Still got at least another week or two of work on Pad 19...and I haven't even looked at what I started 3 years ago on Pad 5 yet. But the pad 14 stuff could be uploaded immediately if the animations were done.
