BaseTileMaker allow you to cut TGA image and save the parts directly in dds format ready to use in Orbiter. Designing surface tiles often require several change on the original image and the existing tool don't allow to cut the image in one click, thus the process is very long and become a pain. Hoppefully BaseTileMaker will speed up and simplify the process a lot.

• Cut and save the tiles in DDS format.
• Automatically rename the tile in Orbiter's tile filename system.
• Automatically create the declaration to copy/past in base config file ("BEGIN_SURFTILELIST").
• Remember setting per image.

Warning !!!! You must unzip the archive In Orbiter/Utils if you want that the program save the DDS in the correct orbiter folder.

I had the chance to test this software sometime ago : it is awesome and allows an easy conversion....
It is essential to be able to easily create tiles in Orbiter.

Take care it was a quick dev just for myself at the basis. There is some bug left especially in the corner of tiles coordinates (>180 && <0), but for "normal" operations it help a lot this is why I finally released it after one years left on my disk.
