I've decided to come back to orbiter after several weeks of using my X-Box 360 that my mom INSISTED that I have, even though she knows that I am a loyal nintendo fan and an anti-Microsoft person.

well, this sucks. Despite me deleting all of my orbiter related crud, my hard disk has filled up yet again. I can't afford a new hard disk, and my 1.024GB is full... any suggestions?

How about deleting something ? It's very hard to fill 1,024GB...

no it isn't, it's damn easy to fill up 1 terabyte

just buy an extra hard disk, orbiter aint that big and harddisks that aint big aint expensive.

just to prove it aint difficult to fill up 1 tera... have a "media pc" fill it up with your favourite movie's that you rip from a dvd that you own so you have a digital copy when the dvd get's scratched. do the same with a few series, not forgetting music albums and single's. install a couple of games, follow an anime or 2 and bingo 2 terabyte's all filled up (in my case that is.... still got 2 more left though )

if you really can't afford a new HDD then you'll have to delete stuff that you can easily get back ... as in downloading, or stuff you have a hardcopy off. also search for stuff that you never use anymore, clearing the cache from your internet browser and stuff .... run the disk cleaner utility .... unless your running linux (which is likely considering your hatred for microsoft, i'm with you there but i'm forced to use it).

You can fit a pretty decent Orbiter install on a flash drive. I got my install which includes NASSP 7 and DGIV onto a 1GB flash drive. (I had to delete my generic mod enabler file copies to fit it though)
Then you have a PORTABLE Orbiter install that runs just as fast as if the program was on your computer. (your computer is smart enough... you can even remove the flash drive while in the sim and keep playing for a little while)

Is that your only HD? 1 GB seems awfully small to run anything off of. If so, then I think you should go with Quick Nick's suggestion (unless you're willing to spend the money for a new HD). Personally, I'd move as much as possible off my main HD and onto flash drives, and go from there. Additionally, multi-GB flash drives do seem to be quite inexpensive these days.

Just looking at some prices of flash drives (in the UK), I'm seeing 8GB ones from £8 to £14 (so $12 to $21), 16GB at a minimum of £18 or $27, and then they get significantly more expensive... And then the cheapest 2GB flash drives are only about £5 (so $7).

Anyway, as far as value for money, I'd definitely go with flash drives
