General Question AutoFCS

I am having a problem with AutoFCS. I have read all the posts that I can find but no answer for me. I changed all the .cfg files.

I begin in Shuttle in LEO, 200km, aligned with KSC. I even do not use time accel. I always land in the ocean. Different locations.


I dont understand the following two instructions:

And Lastly, the default Edwards base has no runways, so you have to add them to the config file. The concrete ones from Slat's addon uses default textures. Also if you have the file "STSewards.msh" in your 2005 install, go ahead and drop it into the mesh directory of 2006. If not, just delete those lines in what follows. This is my Edwards.cfg for 2006. This is the complete base minus surftiles.


I just copied and pasted the following, thats all. Should I do anything with "surftiles?"

KSC is all set already, so you don't have to bother with it except for disabling the LOCATION line. After you do this just install AutoFCS as normal if you haven't already



What does "disabling the LOCATION line mean?

Heres something I see now. During my De-Orbit burn at about 60 secs to go I get a Downrange Error. What does that mean?

No. I am using Orulex. I dont think that affects it. In the past it worked ok, thats whats got me so baffled.

That happens to me to. What I do is just turn off FCS when I am near enough to KSC so I have a low chance of messing up and do the final landing by hand. Just what the real astronoughts do.

Problem Solved. I am so dumb. I was using the Default Shuttle Atlantis. I simply edited the scenario and replaced the default with one from Davids Shuttle Fleet. Presto, all works fine now.
