---Atlantis MKII v. 1.1 + Skin (for Orbiter 2010 P1)---

-Info-

A basic mod I made for those of us who still like to fly the good ol' STS bricks who also want to be out there amongst the DeltaGliders, this mod will add an upgraded version of the shuttle Atlantis with the ability to travel freely around space without the need of external tank + SRB configurations for liftoff. You will now be able to use the powerful main engines as standard and can take off and land vertically using vertical thrusters. No modification was made to the shuttle mesh itself so the model remains in it's original form.

-Changes-

-Main engines as standard, the Atlantis' main engines will always be used for forward thrust and not just for liftoff.
-Retro thruster upgrade
-RCS thruster upgrade, the RCS thrusters has more thrust power.
-Vertical thrusters, for VTOL takeoffs and landings.
-RMS operating speed improved.

-Version 1.1 Changes-

-Adjusted fuel consumption rate so that it is no longer nessecary to turn limited fuel off, the shuttle has decent range on a full tank.
-Reverted changes to cargo bay operating speed in response to program crash reports when operating cargo bay doors (previously a minor change in speed).
-Minor thrust power changes in lieu with fuel consumption rate.

I strongly suggest the addition of nozzles + retractable nozzle doors for the hover thrusters... :hmm:

Orbiter crash every time I try to open cargo bay.

Suggestion: Make it possible to go into orbit on it's own engine like DG,when you add hover why not and add more fuel.

I updated the addon to version 1.1, mostly changes to fuel consumption. Check the download description and the addon's info file for details.

Nicely done.

I find this...strangely fun. I still don't know how to move the robotic arms though....and accidentally left my poor astronaut on orbit as I don't know how to use RCS pack....
