Has anyone developed an addon based on something like this?

Ancient lava holes on the moon!? What could be cooler for a base design?
A meshland design might be nice, but it would still be cool without it. Of course, the whole thing would have to actually be above the mean lunar surface as you can't land below it.
Any thoughts?
