Hey guys, i was goin through the AMSO IMFD5 for dummies and its great. But i see the tutorial only goes up to LOI what about TEI and the MCCs for re-entry? thanks.

Right now I'm looking exactly for something like that...

Good idea, gentlemen. Give me a week or so to do it to complete the tutorial in both directions.

Of course the Lunar Transfer MFD has been released since then. It is very good, and makes AMSO LOI and TEI simple. The problem I have with it is that you don't really have to actually do anything - I don't feel that I am piloting the craft. As a result I will be sticking with IMFD personally.

Well... the only "piloting" that real crews did was punching a bunch of numbers into the AGC. Only the Apollo 13 had a ride with the stick in hand (in fact, not the CSM stick, but the LM's).

I've been making some experiments trying to return the Apollo 17 back to Earth. I found that if i made the TEI on the historic time, the base-approach mode would give me a reentry on the time it was, but almost three days later. There was no way to fine-tune it. A hint higher than 180k gave me a 1000 oV flight, and less than 180k gave me more than 5000 oV...:(
Anyway, when I ejected the SM, orbiter crashed:compbash:

I believe there are some texture or meshes that are missing... Check the log and do some copies with those names. It will be ugly but it'll work.

Nah, it happens randomly, and not only with AMSO. It looks like orbiter tries to write or read something on the current state file and messes up.
