I got to say I love this ship. It just feels right... and more importantly realistic. Which leads to my question. How realistic is this ship? You guys obviously got your inspiration somewhere and I'm curious how long it would take for a ship with these flight characteristics to be a reality. Did you guys make any part of it completely unrealistic or is this something we could potentially see in 20 years?

I suggest reading the XR threads. Both the developement and release thread contain great information about the realism of the craft.

They said it was mainly inspired by the SR-71 Blackbird. At least, the design was.
