I got 43 out of the 50.

I blame my biology teacher for not being in that lesson.

41/50. I'd be better (by 3) if my English was better. Other fails were from biology and 1 from chemistry.

I got 45 out of 50. I should have known a couple more. And I incorrectly second-guessed the one about the expansion of the universe and the one about Pluto's demotion. I saved myself by avoiding second guesses from then on. :p
I didn't have a chance on the cloud one or the dinosaur stamp one.

My actual score was 46 out of 50, but one question somehow got counted as unanswered (I'm pretty sure I did answer it, and in any case, I know I knew the correct answer), and another I answered wrongly because I didn't read it fully. So my actual score should have been 47 or 48 out of 50.

My weaknesses are apparently in meteorology and the history of biology.

I ran into a bit of trouble of some of the physics and the periodic table.
Time to go brush up on that.

Periodic table was a little difficult for me as well. I'm good at test-taking though and I could remember enough to get through it.
And you don't know how much I wanted to change my answer about the composition of the Earth's crust... (I got it right without changing :3)

Well, I don't have any more than a 8th grade class to rely on for it [the periodic table]. I haven't taken chemistry yet, as I took Biology 9th grade and opted for AP Biology this year. :p

(I'm pretty sure I got that one wrong, though. Can't quite remember for sure. :) )

37 of 50, one silly mistake, not bad since its been a decade since I've done any biology and have never been that good with chemistry.

45/50. Knowing a bit about latin and greek helped, but that was also somewhat of a weakness.

47 out of 50.

I made educated guesses/guesstimates on some questions.

I completely guessed on the one about electrical resistance, since I don't know about it at all, but got it right. And maybe the one about catalytic converters. And the one about the suffix -nimbus (but that was more of an educated guess).

And I swear that I never looked at anything else while taking the quiz.

You answered 39 of 50 questions correctly for a total score of 78%.

Objection on one question: The ISS could reach magnitudes of -5 at its perigee, totally illuminated and right above your head:dry:

And I have to agree with Dan, greek and latin helped a lot, or greek mythology in the Athena->catalytic converter question.

48/50 missed the stupid fahrenheit-celsius question and got suckered in answering that Australopithicus was from Australia.

The Greek questions were a no-brainer of course as the answers were quite litteral.

44/50, did some stupid mistakes. Highlights include a fail at Newton's first law (that's what happens when the questions are too easy, you stop thinking...), the catalytic converters one (and I knew enough Greek mythology to answer it ) and the Planck's constant one (I stopped thinking again). The others were mostly biology.

I guess I am amongst the most uneducated members of the community: You answered 27 of 50 questions correctly for a total score of 54%.
