    Mission Control for Orbiter v1

Hi, I used to work at LM too. I have succesfully done what you are referring to. I have written web-based apps (using PHP) to get telemetry from orbiter. I also did some with AJAX to provide live streaming telemetry to the browser. I'm working on an Orbiter server system that...

    1/2" PVC motor - 6-21-2008 Tests 1-4

Cool... I'm not worried about the cardboard liners, they pretty much end up right where they started. I have had nozzle clogged by big paper ignitors before and a massive CATO happened. Not so much of a safety concern with such a small motor, but definetely something to keep in mind...

    Mission Control for Orbiter v1

I was just saying that by adding the If Image<>Nothing would prevent the other users from crashing. Just in case you miss my post on the OrbConnect thread, here's the source for ORTS (Orbiter Remote Tracking Station) http://purinton.us/ORTS/ btw: yagni01 has done a very excellent job in...

    Orb:Connect alpha released

OBJ:<object name or index>:Size returns the planet radius. subtract this radius from the PeR which is in the Elements2 Array as item number 10. Perhaps the ORTS source would be helpful: http://purinton.us/ORTS/ http://purinton.us/ORTS/ROTS/MainForm.vb This shows all the old OUIPC commands for...

    Mission Control for Orbiter v1

value cannot be null: image means this error must occur at a point where you set the image in a picturebox. Check thru the code and see if there's any way for the value in .Image = xxx to be Null or not set. Alternatively: if xxx <> Nothing Then kafjaksjdf.Image = xxx End If it's always good...

    Motor Assembly Video

The only thing missing from this motor is the ignitor which will be fed thru the nozzle, and thru all the grains all the way to the top of the last grain. Ignition occurs at the end opposite of the nozzle. The fire travels down thru the center of the grains and out the nozzle. The fuel...

    Motor Assembly Video

I've had 3 fuel grains from my last batch that have been curing for about 3 weeks, and also a new nozzle design that's ready for testing. There's not much special in this video, just showing how I do the final motor assembly.

    1/2" PVC motor - 6-21-2008 Tests 1-4

I love this kids safety shoes... This method has been shown on YT for a long time, and wasn't invented by this kid. Come to think of it, I think the original author also had bare feet... Weird. Re: Josh I'm a little worried about the paper fuse inside your motor. It's probably not likely...

    Gas Price Relief?

No, not yet (From my first post: "Next project will be to actually outfit a vehicle with an even bigger hydrogen generator than you see in the video above :-) I ordered some parts today...") What I have done is to build a PVC Cannister that holds 18 stainless steel plates wired together. The...

    Gas Price Relief?

The 100W is not coming soley from the burning of gasoline however. 100W is coming off a battery, not the engine... The alternator for recharging, some power comes from gasoline, some power will come from burning of hydrogen, but also power will come from momentum, and a little bit from...

    Gas Price Relief?

I agree with everything you said Greg, except this part, and I'm not in total disagreement. You are correct that you can not spend $300 to run your car on water the same way we run on gasoline. This is obviously impossible... What I, and thousands of others are doing here is basically...

    Gas Price Relief?

I don't really care that much about the oil companies... i'm not trying to 'stick it to them'... #1: I'm interested in saving money. If I add a water/fuel cell to my vehicle I'm going to save money operating it by not having to put as much gasoline in the chamber... electricity i can get free...

    Gas Price Relief?

YouTube - hydrogen/oxygen gas from water Great stuff... Not a Scam Really... This is a hydrogen/oxygen generator I made myself in my basement for under $50... I didn't buy anyone's plans, I just watched about a thousand Youtube videos. The system is extremely simple. This is not a prepetual...

News from PSFC - New videos on page 2

Just stack em in there... There will be a small crack seperating the grains... We definetely want this. It's in a bates burner configuration... There is a hole drilled through the center of the grains to alter the grain geometery. Different Grain Geometeries provide different burn rates by...

    Orbiter installation poll

I think ZIP is fine unless you wish to become like 99% of all other programs which are installed with an installer/uninstaller. on gawinnard's comments about adding and removing addons, this would be resolved by using a package system like I posted about. So there is no overwriting other...

LHC could be a time machine?

Yes, and it's also possible that LHC may produce a microscopic black hole. If it were to get loose and 'fall into the earth' it could devour everything in our solar system.... That would suck.

    NEAR miss with hobby rocket

I don't think my rocket was the one described by the pilot here. I did launch a rocket on that day from Maine to Houston (trying to hit Tex's house), but the pilot would have reported seeing a plasma trail not a smoke trail. I don't think think it was mine. Btw: Tex, did you catch that one?
