Problem Pad 39B replacement in Orbiter 2010

dgatsoulis has a great LC-39 Pad replacement that doesn't require any other add-ons. I'll point this thread out to him so he can zip it up and attach here or something.

    Update TransX development

Indeed. Back in October 2012, I was doing a flight where this "bug" came in handy. Here is a segment of a conversation I had with flytandem October 7, 2012. This was his response:

    Internet Rockets in music videos

This thread reminded me of this song that I happened upon by random a couple of years ago. EDIT: And who could forget:

This may not qualify as it's a fan-made video. But I thought he did a great job.

New Orbiter Beta Released (r.13, Mar 7, 2015)

Probably nothing. The archive is broken up into 2 pieces, but it's actually just 1 archive. When you extracted Moon_HiRes.7z.001, 7-Zip knew that it was a multi-file archive and automatically opened and extracted Moon_HiRes.7z.002 as well.

New Orbiter Beta Released (r.13, Mar 7, 2015)

Is it just one or two files? Or many? If it's many, can you make a simple .BAT file that I can drop into my %ORBITER% directory that will delete the unused files?

    Hardware Joystick?

This topic comes up somewhat regularly so you might check out these previous joystick-related threads: Good joysticks for Orbiter What joystick do you use? Best joysticks for Orbiter? good, low price joysticks? Do you use the Thrustmaster T joystick? Recommended Joystick? Joystick? ...and more

    Orbiter Screenshot Thread

For some reason that middle picture reminds me of the scene in Caddyshack, where Rodney Dangerfield drops anchor through the smaller boat.

New Orbiter Beta Released (r.13, Mar 7, 2015)

In Orbiter 2010, when you press the letter i, it toggles the Date/Time, MJD, Sim time, and FoV off and on. Is there no way to hide that information in Orbiter 2014? Also in Orbiter 2010, when you press the letter f, it would display frames per second. In Orbiter 2014, is it going to be the case...

New Orbiter Beta Released (r.13, Mar 7, 2015)

After Martin updated the LoRes files, I made a quick and dirty video for my YT channel to show a bit about the new Orbiter beta. For those of you following the thread who have not yet installed it, you might find the video interesting? Or not. :)

Soyuz Undocking Video by ESA featuring Orbiter

Very cool! I started watching the video before I read the text below the video. And several minutes into the video, I was like, "That's Orbiter!!!"

New Orbiter Beta Released (r.13, Mar 7, 2015)

I'm just wondering if this is the normal behavior for the moon textures at the moment? This is with the HiRes textures. I have md5sum-checked all my files to make sure they were not corrupted during download. This is orbiter.exe (the inline client that comes with the 2014 beta.) My relevant...

New Orbiter Beta Released (r.13, Mar 7, 2015)

Hmm... I would check the hash of your files against the md5sums that the archive came with. Perhaps your files are corrupt, but if it turns out your files are fine, it would be a big waste of time to re-download. You can download a program like this to check your files. No installation...

New Orbiter Beta Released (r.13, Mar 7, 2015)

The way I did it was by right clicking Earth_HiRes.7z.001 and using the contextual menu to "Extract files..." Does that not work for you? Alternatively, you can run the 7zFM.exe, navigate to where you downloaded the files, choose Earth_HiRes.7z.001 and click Extract.

    Orbiter Experience

You don't need to know how to solve complex math equations to use TransX. Actually, the whole point of TransX is to solve those calculations for you. All you have to know is how to navigate your way around TransX, and how to interpret what the MFD is telling you. Really, it's the same as any...

    Orbiter Experience

For me it's simple. flytandem and dgatsoulis have their experience listed as Advanced. Anyone who claims to have more Orbiter knowledge than them is going to have a real problem proving it. :) Therefore, I'm a Beginner.

Software Orbiter.log missing under Window 7

Sounds like your files are set as Read Only? If that's the case, try right clicking your Orbiter directory, going to Properties and turning off Read Only, and then apply it to all sub directories and files.
