    Project LUVOIR Space Telescope

If the JWST add-on for Orbiter 2016 is ready, then we can use its mirror and create a larger solar shade beneath the mirror to replicate the LUVOIR telescope. ?

I was trying to change my avatar for some reason. However, the website loads continuously, with no network timeout.

Updates James Webb Space Telescope updates

As promised, I have added the image of Ariane 5 in my wall collage of spaceflight images.

Updates James Webb Space Telescope updates

Geez...:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Jokes aside, it sounds fairly normal to me for every such ambitious missions, including the Artemis 1 demo mission. I also wish to add a picture of Ariane 5 taking off with JWST at the same wall where I have pictures of Atlas V, Falcon 9 and the JWST itself.

    Updates SLS Updates

Yup, likely. As I have witnessed numerous delays of the Webb Telescope, it is no wonder to me that the ambitious Artemis missions will be delayed like this too.

    OHM Better ISS

The graphical issues of Donamy-Thorton ISS is one of the reasons I don't like the add-on pack. However, I still longed for an ISS add-on that don't focus much more on exterior aesthetics and runs more smoothly on potato computers. Now I saw this thread and I love this add-on as it fulfills my...

    Updates Starlink Updates & Discussions

Few days ago, when I just opened my smartphone for updates, I found some news about the Starlink satellite constellation and how it will change the lives of developing countries like India. I am already aware of the constellation since SpaceX launched its first batch of 60 Starlinks aboard...

Updates Blue Origin New Shepard News and Updates

In recent years, rocket launches have become so routine and common that the launches themselves have become quite boring, akin to an aeroplane taking off from runway. For instance, I don't really bother watching Falcon 9 launches unless the launch carries something special.

General Question Transfering Orbiter 2016 to laptop

Yeah, but I wanted to transfer everything from my desktop to my laptop, and their memory combined is too big to be transferred by typical pendrives. So I bought a 2 TB drive to do so (and it replaced all the CDs and DVDs l currently have).

General Question Transfering Orbiter 2016 to laptop

Good news to all, I have finally managed to send my Orbiter downloads to my Lenovo laptop, thanks to the 2 TB external hard drive!

Project Mir station complex / UR-500 family

Or you can use Orbiter 2016 version of the add-on directly.

Updates Blue Origin New Shepard News and Updates

..if considering USD 140,000 as low cost, which sounds expensive in Indian standards (equivalent to about 1 crore in India).

    Updates ISS UPDATES

After Prichal (was Uzlovoy), we will have two Science Power Modules that will complete the Russian Segment of the ISS. Of course, that completed form of the station will last for eight years at best and only five years at worst. Compare that situation to Mir, whose completed form only lasted...

Request Double Asteroid Redirect Test mission

Seems like a pretty good idea, but I am doubtful on whether it is feasible. Of course, we can argue that China is the wealthiest country in the world and has a lot of money to spend on these life-saving missions.

    Updates Astra Updates & Discussions

Two days ago (in UTC), the rocket startup Astra has successfully launched its rocket, Rocket 3, into orbit from Pacific Spaceport Complex, Alaska (PSCA). Rocket 3 was originally intended to make its first flight in March 2020 as part of the DARPA launch challenge. However, due to bad weather and...

    Vessel Falcon 9 Air

While lurking around the YT channels of space nerds (Everyday Astronaut, Scott Manley etc.), I found an interesting rocket concept called Falcon 9 Air* (or Falcon Air). Falcon Air was an air-launch-to-orbit (ALTO) rocket proposed by SpaceX in 2011-12. However, the proposal ended in the fourth...

Updates Blue Origin New Shepard News and Updates

Age is just a number of years since you are born. We generally call someone young or old by looking at their appearance rather than their age. However, not all of us (even the old-timers) can get the opportunity to go into space with minimal training. None other than the richest persons in the...
