Trajectories is a tool to plan and simulate missions through the solar system. The objective is that the mission could be later flown in Orbiter.
Currently, Trajectories implements the basic functionality: you can define a mission, simulate it, and visualize the route. Since version V0.0.4 Trajectories simulates finite thrust burns, both with and w/o fuel consumption; this should bring the simulator results closer to a flight in Orbiter. Â
Future versions will include:
- More realistic simulation (e.g., aerobraking).
- Aids in setting up complex missions, for instance those involving L-points (as in the JWST mission) or low energy transfers (as in the Hiten mission).
- Integration with Orbiter:
 - An MFD to carry out a mission as planned.
 - Connection between Orbiter and Trajectories to update the simulation in Trajectories according to what happens in Orbiter.
Please note that the download linked here does not contain the necessary data to compute the positions of planets and moons in the Solar System. Data must be retrieved from Naif's SPICE system (instructions can be found in the link below).Â
The required files are about 640MB.
The data files are the same in all versions of Trajectories. Also, Trajectories maintains backward compatibility for saved simulations.

Also, please note that this software is not only work in progress but also "learn in progress". I mean that I'm learning a lot about astronomy as I'm developing this tool; as a result of this, Trajectories is bound to have astronomy mistakes (in the use of terms, references, etc.).

- New features:
 - Finite thrust burns implemented (both with finite and infinite fuel)
 - Ship configuration window.
 - Plane change maneuvers.
 - Wait for intersections of body orbit planes.
- Small change in the GUI code: might fix the problem with diagonal lines :S.
- Other minor bugs fixed.
