The project has been discontinued, but is still offered here for people that would like to play with it. The major reasons for discontinuation are lacking time, and also that there is just no way to integrate this into orbiter in a propper way. It would always be severly limited by that.

This is version 0.6.2 of the procedural galaxy generator that enables Orbinauts to travel a complete, moderately believable galaxy in Orbiter (despite all the efforts I made to make the generator accurate, this shouldn't be mistaken for an astronomical program. It belongs into the realm of hard science fiction).Â

Extensive documentation included in the download! Please read the configuration guide in the manual before complaining about too long exporting times or lousy textures.KNOWN ISSUES:
- When run as an Orbiter plug-in, Orbiter must be executed in windowed mode or full-screen window. True fullscreen will result in a CTD.
- Keyboard might not work in the Galaxy Window. To resolve, move mousecursor over Orbiter window and press any key.
- Texture export might take ages. To resolve, get a high performance GPU (shader model 4.1 or better), or lower texture levels in OGalaxy.cfgCredits:this add-on wouldn't have been possible without the contribution of several people.
