It allows you to detect known addons in your orbiter instalation.
Current database includes 110 addons.
If you have multiple addon instalations, this will make it easier to see what you have installed.
This is not a comprehensive list of all addons, but it is a beginning.
There are plenty of addons out there.
With your help this list could be enhanced.
