I think I narrowed it down a little. Originally I unpacked all the ZIP files available, 16 in all. When Orbiter failed I deleted all files and folders and just unzipped orbiter100830.zip and Orbiter worked. I then unzipped Earth091124_11_14.zip and all was well. Then Moon090730_L11.zip and all...

I'm running Win7 Ultimate. The Orbiter Launchpad runs, but when I Launch, the Launch Screen displays BRIGHTLY then DIMS and the program is halted at that point.
