Hi guys
Does anyone have a recommendation for a realistic airplane for atmostpheric flight? Some sort of equivalent to the DGIV but an aircraft as opposed to a rocketship with wings.
Ideally not a fighter plane but something more commercial
Thanks! That works like a charm.
I'm never building my own scenarios and I was reluctant to fly everywhere just to find out there's nothing. In the mean time I learned how to place my DG at specific locations which I can use to test the default bases easily.
I think the easiest to see what...
Hi guys
Is there a list somewhere of all the runways/bases on earth in the default 2010 package?
I flew to Habana and found a base there. But Overberg is in the list of bases too but there's nothing when I arrived at the location.
I get the windows version error when running
install-interception /install
I can run intercept but when adding a key it tells me the interception driver is not installed.
EDIT: Oh, this is embarrassing. I just tried again and now I can fly with my laptop (which lacks a numpad). I dont know...
Ok, I get a necropost warning when trying to ask the question on your linked solution, so I'll post it here.
I get the following error on install:
This version of windows is not supported.
I'm running win8.1 64. Opened the cmd in administrator mode
Do you know how to get around it? Doesn't...
aah, I did it the wrong way around. I patched up my orbiter base, instead of sticking do the default 100830 and then just getting the latest D3D9 client.
hmm... I thought I'm running D3D9 on 111105 version.
What's the difference between the zip on:

Hi guys
TLDR: See attachment for which versions of gfx client and orbiter you need.
Often when my interest in space flares up again and I have time, I go down the orbiter route again. Every time I need to figure out which version it is again that works for me.
This time round I made a diagram...
Hi guys
Do I understand correctly that the control surfaces of the DG is not in keymap.cfg?
I'm a laptop player, but I dont even have FN number keys. I see fixes for virtual numpad or buying a USB pad, but I don't see anyone explaining why the ailerons, rudder and elevator controls are not in...
Hi guys
I have another question on this. I can't seem to find what the 2011 beta version is. I noticed that D3D9 RC40 is released for 2010-P1 only. So I'm a bit puzzled what the 2011 beta version is or why it was created (initially I thought it was to allow the visualization but that doesn't...
Hi guys
Should extMFD plugin work with the D3D9 version? When I run orbiter.exe it works but on the d3d9 orbiter_ng it doesn't draw any content. You see the MFD buttons but the display itself stays black.
I tried it in D3D9 fullscreen and windowed.
Thanks for the info Cras.
I can confirm that on Win7 with Intel 4 Series express, the D3D9 works (after I upgraded to the '11 beta version of orbiter. Before that I got a procedure error when I selected the D3D9 module.)
Hi
Thanks for the explanation. However, it still doesn't tell me what I should be using. I'm on a laptop with Win7. To be honest Orbiter looks ok with the stock setup but maybe I can benefit from something else. I have intel 4 series express chipset. It seems that it cannot work with DX11.
Can...
Jedidia, you mention fascinating things. I'm really amused by the fact that the way the ship behaves is the way of knowing you're there. Is this just in Orbiter or in real life?? :-)
Still, I think there's something wrong with my perception of these L-points.
1. Maybe they are far weaker than I...
Thanks Jedida. Good idea to park a ship there.
I guess transx is just a plugin. But surely in orbiter, the environment will simulate the gravity correctly. Does this mean if you 'by accident' traverse the L-point that most modules will calculate incorrectly? Wouldn't the L points be a...
