In from the Cape and with runway to spare!

That is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Length: 2.500 miles. 4 distinct corners unlike other speedways. Home to the Alstate 400 at the Brickyard and the Indianapolis 500. It's also the loudest race track thanks to the spectators. Includes a nice golf course too. The infield road course and the golf course does not allow for a landing site. Plus the fences and the walls would tear up the aircraft. But it is a good shot of the track.

Smaller aircraft may land along the main straightaway and successfully avoid pitwalls or spectator fences. Space shuttles or larger vessels are recommended to land on the other straightaway, as shown.

With 110 feet (33.528 meters) between the walls, 3,300 foot (1005.84 meter) straight, and 50 foot (15.24 meter) pavement width? Well, I guess that is possible, but I would not recomend it. By the way, I found an airport about 4 km North West of the track.

Are we talking about the same add-on? :) Have you attempted a landing yet in a DG? It's tough but not all that difficult. My big problem seems to be not wiping out fans in the bleachers on approach. And of course Orbinauts make many landings that aren't quite recommended!

I've landed in the delta glider before. Once I did it out of fuel and tried to ditch it, but that didn't go too well. I got myself a metal pancake but I don't like those kinds. Well, good thing it's just a simulator. Oh, and I don't have the add-on, but I'm going to get it (once I go to OrbitHangar if you found it there). I made those measurements from one of the NASCAR simulators I have (NASCAR Racing 2003 Season).

Thanks. Well, the good news is that I think I missed the grand stands. The bad news is that I think I flattened the ship when I hit the back streach. However I did enjoy flying around the track.
