So they reverted the launch of the NEM back to Proton. They just brought back OPSEK-2017 but with a twist

I must say, it is a rather rational decision. They have a rocket that works, and that they can manufacture at a very low price tag. That can do everything from launching space station modules in LEO to sending probes to Venus or Mars. And that doesn't rely on modern western components.
