Nose cone was open, but your code isn't transmitting that state variable. Perhaps it could? A formation flight to orbit would be fun. Maybe we should keep it to Delta Gliders today. Unless you you have an idea for why it didn't work.

I tried using scenario editor to dock 2 XR2's and it still didn't work... I have never actually tried to dock 2 XR fleet vessels before. Maybe I need to RTFM....
As for the animations, they definitely can be transmitted.

Wondering who was playing around with XR2 in high earth orbit.
 
I may not be able to join tonight either, sadly. But tomorrow, for sure. I was in high orbit in an XR1 earlier to speed up an intercept with the ISS ....but not an XR2
 
Had pleasure of playing around with someone briefly in Earth Orbit before I had to go eat dinner. That was fun.
I think that was me! I was in an XR2 docked at a fuel service station, my friend was on his way from KSC.

I don't think there is any bug, just me being an idiot. You have to open the nose cone on your vessel, as well as the remote player's vessel by F3'ing into their cockpit. Also you have to make sure nose cone is fully open.

Well, that makes sense, but also sounds like something that should be getting passed between clients since it is a condition of docking with all DG class craft. And the DarkEnergy and Dragon craft also have extendable soft-docking rings.
Ideally, you should not have to do anything yourself to manipulate the other player's ship.
 
Now using websockets for transmission. The update frequency has been increased to 10hz. Server is backwards compatible. Attached is updated orbiter plugin client. Will update main package with a little bit more testing. Both clients versions should play nicely.

Awesome :) Does it pass nosecone/docking ring state between clients? (I think if you cover the DG, XR Series, default shuttle Atlantis, Shuttle SSV, and Dark Energy series you'll have covered the vast majority of players. Maybe the Arrow Freighter's docking bay as a stretch :P

That's an interesting thought. I think at the moment it only syncs the object you're piloting when you first connect. So I suspect some changes would be needed.

Yes, but that would mean that the only thing each client would see was the other person's MMU, not the other person's landed ship. So, the scene would be a bit incomplete.
