Sadly one of the best things in Orbiter 2010 was called AutoFCS and it was way cool to watch the Shuttles deorbit and go through entry interface then land. I think the guy who made that is long gone from Orbiter and no one has done another version
Make the retroburn over Western Australia when going Northeast. Aim for a perigee attitude of 20 km.
Trim the vessel up (about 0.3 to 0.5), enter with a high AoA and perform several roll reversals.
On the map MFD define Cape Canaveral as target.
When flying over the USA try to keep the target base in the 150° direction.
This is because the runway at Cape Canaveral is in this direction.
You can try straight-in landing, or fly a circle over the Cape to shed some excess speed and height.
This is called the Heading Alignment Cone.

If this sounds all a little confusing, maybe first try to land with the Delta Glider, which allows much more flying by the seat-of-pants.
Also try the Space Shuttle Atlantis scenarios, like Final Approach, Reentry 1 and 2.
Good luck!
