Hi Orbiters...I've just added the SSU 4.2 to my Orbiter 2010 and it seems to work fine...I'm trying to run one of the scenarios....STS-120 and I can see the countdown clock counting down on the left bottom screen...however, when it gets to less than 5 minutes, it comes up with the message "countdown clock will hold at T-4 due to a failure"...then it just stops...I have no idea what to do after that...I exited the scenario, and tried the STS-126 scenario, and exactly the same happened...I cannot find any documentation to show what to do to ensure the scenarios run, but it looks like I have to input something....any ideas guys?...thanks in advance

SSU is designed for maximum realism, so you have to follow the actual NASA checklists to know what to do and when to do it. For prelaunch and launch procedures you want one of the Ascent Checklists, which can be obtained here: http://www.nasa.gov/centers/johnson/news/flightdatafiles/index.html

Another handy document in the Shuttle Crew Operations Manual (SCOM) which can found on the same page as well as the many Systems Workbooks as they teach the various systems.

Ah, OK gotcha...didn't realise I had to manually input some information prior to launch...I'll check out the information on the link, and follow that...many thanks for your help Dave and thank you for such a great add-on...I appreciate all your hard work on this..keep up the good work...can't wait to use it in Orbiter 2016 once it is all up and running...thank you

Also the SSU specific user interface is rather clunky, but its open-source, so its possible to improve it, for example to include feedback from mission control (Needed since the crew doesn't have full authority over the spacecraft). Also, there is the Space Shuttle Vessel fork of SSU, with ongoing development by GLS, which might see a first release in the closer future.
