So, I visited the planetarium this morning. I will be attending a convention there next Thursday, but given that I am not very familiar with the place (I just visited the planetarium once, when I was in my elementary school), I decided to go there and have a look.

The admission for the galleries and exhibitions are free, but one needs to pay RM 6 (approx. USD 1.50) (price for Malaysian adults) to watch some short (30 minutes) spaceflight/astronomy documentaries.

Here are some pictures taken there:

Orbiter appears in some of the videos there as these videos were taken from the ESA videos about the Soyuz ISS Expedition Missions

Spot the mistake here.

Ans: No. 4 is wrong. Columbus should be the one on the left. The correct name for No. 4 should be the Japanese JEM and Kibo module.

Wait... What? SpaceX is an NGO?

This is interesting!

The planetarium is located right in the heart of the city, so upon exiting the planetarium, you can see skyscrapers around you.

I had a nice trip there. I am now familiar with the place and Thrusday's convention should not be a problem for me.

Seems a pretty cool place. Reminds me the "Cité de l'Espace" (Space City) we have in Toulouse, France. I'll definively have a go if I ever go to Malaysia.

If you ever visit South-Western France, drop me a message, we'll sit inside the half-burned Soyuz capsule bought from the Soviet Union and take a funny pic

Is that ESA Soyuz video the one made with Thorton's add-ons in Orbiter?

Thanks N Molson! I will certainly PM you when I come to Toulouse. I am pretty sure that the facilities there will be much better (and much less prone to errors )than our planetarium here in Malaysia.

Yes, I think so. I really hope Thorton is back and is updating his Soyuz launch vehicle for Orbiter 2016 though.
