Hi Guys,

I had an issue with Orbiter not starting ("Unable to initialise 3D") and eventually tracked it down to the video size. I have an Acer preditor 21:9 3440x1440 monitor, something stops orbiter from using this resolution.

In fact, I find anything above 1920 and it fails to load.

Is this a known issue and is there a known cure?

Thanks,

It's an known issue with the inline D3D7 client. It's just too old to work with those resolutions. Only remidy is to get the newer D3D9Client: http://d3d9client.codeplex.com/

Thanks Dave.

I tried the DX9 client last night and it did the same thing. I'll give it another go tonight, it might not have been set up right.

I'm having other issues with 2016, discovered when I got a proper game last night.

1. False touchdown on the moon with a wheel squeak at 1km alt or more, when I landed on Brighton Beach my alt read negative!

2. Ship moving around on the pad. This prevents accelerating time when waiting for a launch window.

3. Missing runway textures and more importantly all the runway lights at KSC.

Any thoughts on these?

Cheers,

Paul
