I noticed that with watches first. The more expensive they get the more "special" they have to look due to some reason. And in most cases special means hideous.

The fully wooden watches on the other hand....

Hey, it's the inner values that count :p

By the way, to anyone that had a longer absence from prospector roguelike, the build from december is highly recommendable.

Does anyone know a good program to monitor internal temps of a computer?

EDIT: forgot to add this, but one that supports Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.40GHz

I don't think a watch for 70,000 bucks is much better in that regard than other high quality ones, considering they fly to space with $3,000 watches. Everything at that price is just some gimmicky :censored:.

SpeedFan is another decent one.

Art... some things are just merely art. I don't mean Rolex or similar there...

I may be getting a smartphone soon to replace my old flip phone. I know nothing about smartphones; never owned one or used one. Any recommendations?

Say no to Samsung, made bad experiences with their smartphones.

My mother is really happy with her Nexus 5, others are gladly iPhone users. The Windows Phone Nokias are also very well-received here at work.

What exactly is it?
The only real problem i had with my Galaxy 3 is a lack of hardware call/call drop buttons (and general call handling interface responsiveness).

But this seems like a common trend of making the phones touchscreen-only.

The Samsung software that is installed is a constant source of hang-ups and crashes. If you plan to root early its OK.

My Galaxy S3 is currently in this "to root or not to root phase" and in the comparison with other smartphone manufacturers, Samsung really gets a bad grade IMHO.

I've had no trouble with my Note 4, although I haven't really bothered to root it, nor do I really have any need to.

I'm not sure, but I've always had Nokias. Reliable, durable, and highly idiot-resistant. But those are all brick or flip phones, not a smart phone.

Any of Sony's Xperia series is pretty good. 3 of my family's 4 members, including me, are using one of their models, and I find the general design quite good and rather stable.

Isn't the Xperia Z3 just a bit overpriced? I'm thinking on whether on buying it, but the price is giving me second thoughts...

I installed Cyanogenmod (a custom ROM) on my Galaxy S3,and that fixed most of the issues with the Samsung software.

Cyanogenmod gave me (near) infinite updates past the end of Samsung updates, pre-installed with root access, really nice tethering support that was absent in the Samsung ROM, and (seemingly) better performance and less battery darin.

Look into the Motorola Moto G: despite not being owned by Google anymore, they appear to be very well made "mini Nexuses" at a better price point (180€ here, more or less) with reason to believe that they will receive updates when new Android releases come out (firmware updates have had a history of not being guaranteed at all especially on low and midrange devices). The Microsoft Lumia 535 (not Nokia anymore) from what I've seen I a very decent phone for the price (129€ here), while midrange offerings such as the 735 are sadly quite a bit more expensive than the Moto G. MS on the other hand has been very good at keeping their entire offering updated since WP8 came out a bit more than two years ago. There non-MS/Nokia Windows Phones but they're very, very few.
