I saw a video over this tool, and I'd like to try it. But the problem is: most of the time it doesn't show a graph. I want to departure from Mars and arrive at Saturn. I gave it 400, 378 and 1000 days for the launch window and the time when I want to arrive (same values, BTW).

Can anyone help me out??

P.S. I'm running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

What launch and arrival MJD's did you give it?

It's not a graph but a pork-chop plot and it not displaying a plot is a sign that that values result in trajectories that have crazy requirements in dV.

this is a very quick n dirty run I did for Mars to Saturn following a Hohmann trajectory:

The min launch date is 1 July 2013, and I give it 400 days. The arrival values are the same.

Have a look at the screenshot I took. A window doesn't open until October 2013 and my flight time is 2,025 days. If you want to do this in 400 days you'll need a lot more dV and you'll need to change the launch and arrival dV options to better fit your budget.

Could you give me tips on how to find these dates (sites, pdf, something like that)?

Google "cosmic train schedule".

That's what I used to get the inital dates and flight times to plug into the planner.

Note that this is all Hohmann windows. You can travel from any planet to any planet at anytime - if you have sufficient dV.

This looks a good tool,I get the interface but it will not function on win 7 64 bit pro, comes up with missing MSFLXGRD.OCX and closes. What runtimes and libaries are requred?

I have tried that but still no luck, pahaps need somthing from windows, will look into it.

It would help you you explained what you did and what didn't work. I know that fix works as I've used it myself.

I extracted the zip file into sysWOW64 folder and followed the instructions on the site using command prompt as shown, and stated invalid file. where should the program itself be located?

Sorry if I sound redundant, but which version did you install?
.......

Time to facepalm again. Misunderstood the program...

Version 1.1.1, is that the only one on orb hanger?

try copying MSFLXGRD.OCX into the folder where you have put trajectory planner.
then open up a command prompt with administrator permissions and enter the command
regsvr32 [path to file]\MSFLXGRD.OCX

Yes, 30 years to Neptune is a bit excessive, no ? Voyager 2 did it in 12 years (using slingshots).

Earth to Neptune? My Mars to Saturn is 5.5 years.

but yes, you really need as much dV as possible.

It's working now,was missing MSCOMCTL.ocx, and the 3 others in zip download registered successfully, they are in the tregectory planner folder as well as wow64.Thanks for the suggestions:thumbup:
