News New Payload Management System I'm working on

After much consideration, teeth gnashing, facepalming at Microsoft, I think it's time to toss OPH to the masses. This is to be considered a beta version. The documentation is not as strong as I would like, but should be enough for developers to at least get a feel and hopefully root out any bugs I didn't find. The uploaded package includes the lib, inc and doc folders for developers, but the root of the package contains the dialog DLL which is an Orbiter Module. Place it in your Modules/Plugins folder, then activate in the launchpad. The dialog is completely separate, communicating with OPH-vessels via clbkGeneric. For this reason, testing the dialog isn't limited to developers, anyone can grab it, play with it, and make sure it doesn't crash or do weird things with other vessels. There is one developer-side limitation however, thanks to Microsoft, the library will only work with VS2012, no previous versions. I hate this, and it's what I've been spending most of the last few weeks of development work on trying to solve, but I'm tired of staring at this thing and hope everyone can live with it for the time being. So here's OPH, have fun, this thread is fine for discussing it as far as I'm concerned.

:tiphat:, good stuff my man. I cant provide any meaningful feedback on this, since I only have VS 2008 & VS 2010 installed, but Ill do that "end-user testing" you asked for.

I'm sorry for the late reply, I failed to check the topic. But with other ships, unless that ship is programmed with OPH, you can't attach anything to it. However, were there any crashes? If not, I still consider this a successful report and thank you for it! (if there were, it still helps if you can provide the circumstances behind the crash)

Ok,I just returned back from a family vacation, and I will try,and do some more testing for you,Thanks for replying.

Unfortunately, there's been nothing. Woo482 helped me a little in IRC, but I believe everything he's released has used Kulch's Payload Manager. I was hoping a few developers would test OPH, but that doesn't seem to have happened. But thanks for the help, Interceptor!

I'm actually going to be starting work on a .dll-based Saturn 5 for my Apollo addon and soon would be interested in applying some of your work.

The scenario editor interface in particular would be nice to have.
